Traditional garlic syrup – natural cure

There is no more traditional medicine than garlic syrup. If you are terrified by the idea of making or consuming something that is topped with garlic, believe that the overall impression of the result exceeds the initial nausea.

This homemade cough syrup combines garlic antibiotic and anti-inflammatory power. It is used both to prevent viruses and cleanse the body, and for the subsequent treatment of fever and cough. If you have preschool children and come home with robes, a teaspoon of garlic syrup is the best thing you can give your whole family a treat.

You will need:

24 peeled cloves of garlic

250ml of honey

3 liters of water

Grind the cloves of garlic and put them in a pot.

Add one liter of cold water and bring to a boil. Pour the resulting mixture into a glass, close the lid and allow to infuse overnight.

Mix the mixture in a pot with 2 liters of water and bring to a boil, boil without a lid until the mixture is reduced to half its original volume.

Pour the reduced cooled mixture over a canvas and leave only a clean extract. Add 250 ml of honey and keep the temperature below 45 ° C to thicken the syrup with occasional stirring.

Remove the syrup from the heat, place in smaller bottles and allow to cool before use. Take one tablespoon of this syrup every 3 hours or as needed to relieve cough.

The dose can be adjusted according to the severity of the cough and the individual reaction.

Keep cool, use within 8 weeks.
