The fruit – elderberry – is black, berry.
When fresh, they are slightly toxic, so they are usually further heat-treated.
In the past, almost the entire tree, including the bark, was used in healing. At home, you can also use a leaf to speed up the maturation of compost and also as a natural remedy against aphids.
We will now focus on the fruit.
Elderberry fruit cleanses the blood, acts against viruses and bacteria, helps cough, relieves pain and fever.
It is also possible to overdose. Therefore, it is recommended not to overdo the internal use. Overdose is manifested by diarrhea and rash.
You will need:
- 2.5 l of elderberry fruits,
- 1 l of water,
- 1 roll of cinnamon,
- 2 cloves,
- 1 kg of sugar,
- 10 tablespoons chilled espresso,
- 1 cm vanilla bean,
- 0.5 l of vodka or rum
Remove the stem from the elderberries, wash and let it drip.
Then boil them lightly in a large pot, add 1 liter of water, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla and cook for 20 minutes. When mixing, try to crush the individual balls.
Set aside and leave to stand for 1 day in the cold and dark. Then strain through a fine cloth, squeezing the fruit.
Heat the juice slightly and dissolve the sugar in it, then add the coffee and set aside.
After cooling, add alcohol. Taste continuously, so that the ratio is according to your taste.
Thanks to alcohol, the liqueur will last you all season.
