Most delicious rosehip liqueur DIY

Not only does rosehip liqueur look beautiful and is really great, it also helps inside.

Rosehip strengthens immunity and helps prevent colds, is a rich source of vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant carotene, lycopene and other vitamins.

For about 1 liter of delicious rosehip liqueur, you will need:

  • 250 g fresh rose hips
  • 800ml brandy (plum, apricot, pear ..)
  • 100 g of cane sugar
  • 100 ml of water
  • 2x cloves,
  • 1 whole cinnamon,
  • 1 star anise
  • cheese cloth

Clean the darts. Cut them in halves, you don’t have to get rid of the seeds the way it’s done, for example, when making jam. Pour them into a large jar.

Drizzle with brandy and add spices. Close the glass and leave at room temperature in the dark.

After 3 weeks of maceration, pour the mixture over a cloth.

Squeeze the used rosehip and throw them away. Keep a clean macerate. Meanwhile, make the syrup by boiling the sugar with water.

Add the syrup to the macerate, but only after it has cooled.

The liqueur is ready and, thanks to alcohol and sugar, well preserved, if you keep it, it will last for years and it will only ripen to perfection.
